As we continue to study Revelation chapter seven we catch a glimpse of God's preparatory work to restore and renew Israel amidst the outpouring of His wrath. The Bible describes the upcoming future tribulation not only as a means of judgment upon the unbelieving world but also as a means of discipline to chasten Israel into the arms of their Messiah, Jesus. Chapter seven also serves to encourage all those who suffer for Christ's name to keep their eye upon eternity where they will enter the shelter of His promised rest.
