We are commanded in Scripture to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and this is a prayer that God intends to answer. Ultimately the peace of Jerusalem and the peace of Israel will arrive when Israel is stripped of her own strength and solely waits upon the Lord to renew their strength in the reception of her Messiah.
This evening we are pausing before the New Year to pray for the peace of Israel and examine what is happening in the Promise Land right now and in light of biblical prophesy. It is our hope in doing this that God will fix our eyes upon eternity as we await the coming of our Lord.
