The Faithful Wounds of God

Proverbs 27:6 states, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend." Through the prophet Hosea, God is depicted as one who faithfully wounds Israel, not out of hatred for His people, but out of love and a desire for them to return to Him in repentance.
