The prophet Nahum describes the impending fall of Nineveh as a precursor to God's ultimate judgment in the latter days. Though the Kingdom of Nineveh appeared mighty and lionlike in the eyes of humanity, God would humble it, just as He will humble the kingdom of the Antichrist, which will also seem powerful in the last days.
