In essence, the Day of the Lord refers to a period in the end times when God will judge all nations, including Israel. Through this time of judgment, God will lead Israel back to Himself as they look in faith upon the One whom they have pierced, and God will bestow upon them a spirit of grace and supplication, ushering in a period of promised restoration.
