The time of the Judges was a tumultuous season for Israel, and toward the end of those days the Word of the Lord was rare. Yet even then, a glimmer of hope remained in light of God’s covenantal faithfulness. Through the tender and humble heart of Samuel, the Word of the Lord would once again go forth in power.
