When God hands people over to judgment, there are always signs that accompany it. This was certainly true when Israel demanded a king like all the surrounding nations. In doing so, they were rejecting God’s rule over them. Yet even as the Lord gives them over to their desire, He remains faithful to His covenant and steadfast in His commitment to the Jewish people.
